AGM A GREATER ME A program designed to provide life skills to foster youth. Workshops on financial literacy, career readiness, and more are available. | Los Angeles metro area. EMPOWERING FOSTER YOUTH TO BECOME A GREATER ME The AGM program is a nine-week series of empowerment workshops designed for foster and community youth, ages 14-21. Attendees receive essential life skills such as financial planning literacy, career path outlook, and job search/interviewing process. As well as understanding social etiquette, legal rights as an individual and conflict resolution. They learn the fundamentals of self-care, mental, and physical health management through resilience and self-awareness. All to assist young people transitioning out of foster care with the unique challenges faced by young people transitioning out of foster care. Every child deserves a safe and stable home. Unfortunately, neglect and abuse force many into foster care, with nearly half facing severe mental health challenges. In California, a staggering 38% of foster youth never find a permanent home, and only 51% graduate high school. Your support can change this narrative. Working together, we can guarantee that every child in foster care receives the stability, resources, and hope they are entitled to for a brighter future. BUILDING FOUNDATIONS FOR SUCCESS SKILL DEVELOPMENT Our workshops provide youth with practical life skills that are often neglected but crucial for successful independent living. COMMUNITY CONNECTION We aim to establish a community that aids foster youth in establishing relationships with peers and caring adults who believe in their potential. FUTURE READINESS SOCIAL JUSTICE After graduating, participants feel confident, competent, and connected to continue their journey towards becoming their greatest selves. A Greater Me confronts structural inequities and radicalized systems that push foster youth toward incarceration, providing education and support to interrupt the foster-to-prison pipeline. Proper support is necessary for foster youth to overcome significant challenges when transitioning to independence. A Greater Me is a program that aids in overcoming the staggering statistics by offering guidance and skills required to overcome challenges and build steadfast foundations for continued success throughout the rest of their lives. WORKSHOPS Explore our diverse workshops designed to empower individuals. Gain legal knowledge, enhance job skills, set career goals, manage finances, and develop essential life skills. GRADUATION 2026 JUSTICE SYSTEM NAVIGATION & PIPELINE PREVENTION Know your rights and police interaction protocols. Understand probation, juvenile records, and court systems. The ability to de-escalate conflict and make decisions under pressure, as well as being aware of civic duties such as laws, consequences, and advocacy. JOB READINESS Our resume building and job readiness workshops help you prepare for the workforce. Obtain the skills necessary to excel in job interviews and secure employment. FINANCIAL LITERACY Start a journey of exploring careers and setting goals. Define your aspirations, create a plan, and work towards a fulfilling career path. Providing young people in foster care with support for life skills, education, and emotional well-being to help them transition to adulthood successfully Our Workshops Greater Me Program workshops are designed to equip foster youth with the tools, confidence, and skills they need to thrive in adulthood. Led by experienced mentors, community leaders, and industry professionals, these sessions cover a range of impactful topics—from financial literacy and career readiness to mental wellness and personal development. Each workshop is a step toward empowerment, offering youth the opportunity to build real-world skills in a supportive, uplifting environment.
